In late 1970, Bill Bushong borrowed a few hundred dollars for some tools and a 1962 International Pickup and became the general contractor of a stalled church construction project in Montezuma and Bushong Construction Company was born. Bill passed away in August of 2021 after a lifetime in the construction business, leaving behind a legacy of construction projects of nearly every variety in east central Iowa. More than 50 years after those humble beginnings, Bushong Construction is still building.
